It used a Damizean GM8 to play the levels, with the editor made poorly in VB. This idea started with Sonic Maker in 2010ish, inspired by PlaySega level creator. Perhaps that's one reason we had to add more excellent games to this list. Sonic Studio is a level editor fan-game which gives easy control of slopes. Curiously, unlike Nintendo, Sega has given the "okay" to fan-made games - provided no money exchanges hands. Of course, not every company looks kindly on fans who choose to express their love in the form of games.
